CVSS v3.1 |
| Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl read before the start of an all-blank field under allow_whitespace in strip_trail_whitespace.
Under allow_whitespace, strip_trail_whitespace removes trailing spaces and tabs from each unquoted field without stopping at the start of the field. For a field of only blanks it reads the byte before the field's heap buffer. If that byte is also a space or tab, it may be zeroed and the walk continue backwards, depending on what the allocator placed there.
Leading blanks are normally skipped before a field is stored, but an all-blank field still arrives after a leading escape_char that differs from quote_char, or as a quoted field in getline when its line ends in two CRs. |
| Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl return a 0xFF byte that is not in the input for an empty last field followed by a lone CR in parse.
When the input to parse ends in a separator and a lone CR, the parser treats the end of the input as the next character and stores the end-of-file marker in the field as the byte 0xFF. With binary set, parse("a,\r") returns the fields "a" and "\xFF". On UTF-8 flagged input the last field is a UTF-8 flagged string holding that lone byte, which is malformed UTF-8. The same input with a non-empty last field is rejected as an error.
A CRLF file read line by line and chomped ends this way when its last column is empty, so the application receives a byte that is not in its input. |
| Out of bounds read in Extensions in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to read memory inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Out of bounds read in Offline in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to potentially read memory inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Out of bounds read in API in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to potentially read memory inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Win32 Kernel Subsystem allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Win32 Kernel Subsystem allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Win32 Kernel Subsystem allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Win32 Kernel Subsystem allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Kernel allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-31, a client connected to the distributed pixel cache server can send crafted pixel data that triggers an integer-size calculation error and a heap buffer overwrite, crashing the server. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.2-31. |
| IBM QRadar SIEM 7.6.0.0 through 7.6.0.4, and 7.5.0 through 7.5.0 Update Package 16 Interim Fix 001 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service or obtain sensitive information due to an out-of-bounds read. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Push Notifications allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Aggregated Data Platform Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Out of bounds read in Navigation in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Out of bounds read in Bluetooth in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to read memory inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| libspatialite through 5.1.0 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the WKB point and vertex count size guard of ParseWkbLine and related parsers in gg_wkb.c, allowing out-of-bounds reads. Attackers can supply a crafted geometry BLOB with a large point count, for example in a SpatiaLite database file, to crash the process or corrupt heap memory on 32-bit builds. |
| Schroedinger libschroedinger through 1.0.11 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that allows attackers to read past a static quantiser table by supplying unvalidated wavelet filter index or transform depth values. Attackers can deliver a crafted low-delay Dirac stream with a wavelet filter index of 7 or more or transform depth of 5 or 6 to crash decoding applications. |
| wvWare wv through 1.2.9 contains a stack-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability in wvGetPAPX_FKP and wvGetCHPX_FKP caused by an unvalidated FKP run count. Attackers can supply a crafted .doc file with a large crun value to read kilobytes past the 512-byte stack buffer, crashing applications like AbiWord. |
| wvWare wv through 1.2.9 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability in wvGetSTSH in stylesheet.c that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying crafted Word stylesheets. Attackers can provide a .doc file with ten or fewer styles or out-of-range style base indexes to read past heap arrays, crashing applications such as AbiWord. |
