This is due to insufficient path validation on user-supplied input passed to the get_template_part() function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other "safe" file types can be uploaded and included. |
| The Flexi Product Slider and Grid for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.5 via the `flexipsg_carousel` shortcode. This is due to the `theme` parameter being directly concatenated into a file path without proper sanitization or validation, allowing directory traversal. This leads to remote code execution under the web server’s context, allowing full compromise of the host. |
| Carbon is an international PHP extension for DateTime. Application passing unsanitized user input to Carbon::setLocale are at risk of arbitrary file include, if the application allows users to upload files with .php extension in an folder that allows include or require to read it, then they are at risk of arbitrary code ran on their servers. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.8.4 and 2.72.6. |
| Convoy is a KVM server management panel for hosting businesses. In versions 3.9.0-rc3 to before 4.4.1, there is a directory traversal vulnerability in the LocaleController component of Performave Convoy. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP request with malicious locale and namespace parameters. This allows the attacker to include and execute arbitrary PHP files on the server. This issue has been patched in version 4.4.1. A temporary workaround involves implementing strict Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules to incoming requests targeting the vulnerable endpoints. |
