CVE-2026-72120 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: add missing rcu list annotations and operations sashiko-bot remarked the missing use of list_add_rcu() in bcm_[rx|tx]_setup() to have a proper initialized bcm_op structure when bcm_proc_show() traverses the bcm_op's under rcu_read_lock(). To cover all initial settings of the bcm_op's the list_add_rcu() calls are moved to the end of the setup code. While at it, also fix the mirroring removal side: bcm_release() called bcm_remove_op() - which frees the op via call_rcu() - on ops that were still linked in bo->tx_ops/bo->rx_ops, without list_del_rcu() first. Unlink each op with list_del_rcu() before handing it to bcm_remove_op(), matching the existing pattern in bcm_delete_tx_op()/bcm_delete_rx_op().
CVE-2026-46137 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: pm: ADD_ADDR rtx: fix potential data-race This mptcp_pm_add_timer() helper is executed as a timer callback in softirq context. To avoid any data races, the socket lock needs to be held with bh_lock_sock(). If the socket is in use, retry again soon after, similar to what is done with the keepalive timer.
CVE-2026-43198 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix potential race in tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock() Code in tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock() after the call to tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() is done too late. After tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock(), the child socket is already visible from TCP ehash table and other cpus might use it. Since newinet->pinet6 is still pointing to the listener ipv6_pinfo bad things can happen as syzbot found. Move the problematic code in tcp_v6_mapped_child_init() and call this new helper from tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() before the ehash insertion. This allows the removal of one tcp_sync_mss(), since tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() will call it with the correct context.
CVE-2026-43023 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: SCO: fix race conditions in sco_sock_connect() sco_sock_connect() checks sk_state and sk_type without holding the socket lock. Two concurrent connect() syscalls on the same socket can both pass the check and enter sco_connect(), leading to use-after-free. The buggy scenario involves three participants and was confirmed with additional logging instrumentation: Thread A (connect): HCI disconnect: Thread B (connect): sco_sock_connect(sk) sco_sock_connect(sk) sk_state==BT_OPEN sk_state==BT_OPEN (pass, no lock) (pass, no lock) sco_connect(sk): sco_connect(sk): hci_dev_lock hci_dev_lock hci_connect_sco <- blocked -> hcon1 sco_conn_add->conn1 lock_sock(sk) sco_chan_add: conn1->sk = sk sk->conn = conn1 sk_state=BT_CONNECT release_sock hci_dev_unlock hci_dev_lock sco_conn_del: lock_sock(sk) sco_chan_del: sk->conn=NULL conn1->sk=NULL sk_state= BT_CLOSED SOCK_ZAPPED release_sock hci_dev_unlock (unblocked) hci_connect_sco -> hcon2 sco_conn_add -> conn2 lock_sock(sk) sco_chan_add: sk->conn=conn2 sk_state= BT_CONNECT // zombie sk! release_sock hci_dev_unlock Thread B revives a BT_CLOSED + SOCK_ZAPPED socket back to BT_CONNECT. Subsequent cleanup triggers double sock_put() and use-after-free. Meanwhile conn1 is leaked as it was orphaned when sco_conn_del() cleared the association. Fix this by: - Moving lock_sock() before the sk_state/sk_type checks in sco_sock_connect() to serialize concurrent connect attempts - Fixing the sk_type != SOCK_SEQPACKET check to actually return the error instead of just assigning it - Adding a state re-check in sco_connect() after lock_sock() to catch state changes during the window between the locks - Adding sco_pi(sk)->conn check in sco_chan_add() to prevent double-attach of a socket to multiple connections - Adding hci_conn_drop() on sco_chan_add failure to prevent HCI connection leaks
CVE-2026-31566 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix fence put before wait in amdgpu_amdkfd_submit_ib amdgpu_amdkfd_submit_ib() submits a GPU job and gets a fence from amdgpu_ib_schedule(). This fence is used to wait for job completion. Currently, the code drops the fence reference using dma_fence_put() before calling dma_fence_wait(). If dma_fence_put() releases the last reference, the fence may be freed before dma_fence_wait() is called. This can lead to a use-after-free. Fix this by waiting on the fence first and releasing the reference only after dma_fence_wait() completes. Fixes the below: drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/amdgpu_amdkfd.c:697 amdgpu_amdkfd_submit_ib() warn: passing freed memory 'f' (line 696) (cherry picked from commit 8b9e5259adc385b61a6590a13b82ae0ac2bd3482)
CVE-2026-98429 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Keep EQ resources alive while IRQ is registered The completion IRQ handler accesses the EQ state and DMA buffer. Its IRQ was registered before that state was initialized, while teardown released the buffer before free_irq() synchronized the handler. Initialize the EQ without arming it, register the IRQ, and then arm it. Reverse the resource order during teardown by freeing the IRQ before destroying the EQ.
CVE-2026-74260 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_dup_netdev: add nf_dev_xmit_recursion*() helpers and use them Update nft_dup and nft_fwd to use the nf_dev_xmit_recursion() helpers. This patch also disables BH when transmitting the skb to address a possible migration to different CPU leading to imbalanced decrementation of the recursion counters. This is modeled after Florian Westphal's dev_xmit_recursion*() API available since commit 97cdcf37b57e ("net: place xmit recursion in softnet data") according to its current state in the tree.
CVE-2026-53124 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ublk: reset per-IO canceled flag on each fetch If a ublk server starts recovering devices but dies before issuing fetch commands for all IOs, cancellation of the fetch commands that were successfully issued may never complete. This is because the per-IO canceled flag can remain set even after the fetch for that IO has been submitted - the per-IO canceled flags for all IOs in a queue are reset together only once all IOs for that queue have been fetched. So if a nonempty proper subset of the IOs for a queue are fetched when the ublk server dies, the IOs in that subset will never successfully be canceled, as their canceled flags remain set, and this prevents ublk_cancel_cmd from actually calling io_uring_cmd_done on the commands, despite the fact that they are outstanding. Fix this by resetting the per-IO cancel flags immediately when each IO is fetched instead of waiting for all IOs for the queue (which may never happen).
CVE-2026-46168 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: fix scheduling with atomic in timestamp sockopt Using lock_sock_fast() (atomic context) around sock_set_timestamp() and sock_set_timestamping() is unsafe, as both helpers can sleep. Replace lock_sock_fast() with sleepable lock_sock()/release_sock() to avoid scheduling while atomic panic.
CVE-2026-31642 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix call removal to use RCU safe deletion Fix rxrpc call removal from the rxnet->calls list to use list_del_rcu() rather than list_del_init() to prevent stuffing up reading /proc/net/rxrpc/calls from potentially getting into an infinite loop. This, however, means that list_empty() no longer works on an entry that's been deleted from the list, making it harder to detect prior deletion. Fix this by: Firstly, make rxrpc_destroy_all_calls() only dump the first ten calls that are unexpectedly still on the list. Limiting the number of steps means there's no need to call cond_resched() or to remove calls from the list here, thereby eliminating the need for rxrpc_put_call() to check for that. rxrpc_put_call() can then be fixed to unconditionally delete the call from the list as it is the only place that the deletion occurs.
CVE-2026-31563 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: Use dev_consume_skb_any() to free TX SKBs The napi_consume_skb() function is not intended to be called in an IRQ disabled context. However, after commit 6bc8a5098bf4 ("net: macb: Fix tx_ptr_lock locking"), the freeing of TX SKBs is performed with IRQs disabled. To resolve the following call trace, use dev_consume_skb_any() for freeing TX SKBs: WARNING: kernel/softirq.c:430 at __local_bh_enable_ip+0x174/0x188, CPU#0: ksoftirqd/0/15 Modules linked in: CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 15 Comm: ksoftirqd/0 Not tainted 7.0.0-rc4-next-20260319-yocto-standard-dirty #37 PREEMPT Hardware name: ZynqMP ZCU102 Rev1.1 (DT) pstate: 200000c5 (nzCv daIF -PAN -UAO -TCO -DIT -SSBS BTYPE=--) pc : __local_bh_enable_ip+0x174/0x188 lr : local_bh_enable+0x24/0x38 sp : ffff800082b3bb10 x29: ffff800082b3bb10 x28: ffff0008031f3c00 x27: 000000000011ede0 x26: ffff000800a7ff00 x25: ffff800083937ce8 x24: 0000000000017a80 x23: ffff000803243a78 x22: 0000000000000040 x21: 0000000000000000 x20: ffff000800394c80 x19: 0000000000000200 x18: 0000000000000001 x17: 0000000000000001 x16: ffff000803240000 x15: 0000000000000000 x14: ffffffffffffffff x13: 0000000000000028 x12: ffff000800395650 x11: ffff8000821d1528 x10: ffff800081c2bc08 x9 : ffff800081c1e258 x8 : 0000000100000301 x7 : ffff8000810426ec x6 : 0000000000000000 x5 : 0000000000000001 x4 : 0000000000000001 x3 : 0000000000000000 x2 : 0000000000000008 x1 : 0000000000000200 x0 : ffff8000810428dc Call trace: __local_bh_enable_ip+0x174/0x188 (P) local_bh_enable+0x24/0x38 skb_attempt_defer_free+0x190/0x1d8 napi_consume_skb+0x58/0x108 macb_tx_poll+0x1a4/0x558 __napi_poll+0x50/0x198 net_rx_action+0x1f4/0x3d8 handle_softirqs+0x16c/0x560 run_ksoftirqd+0x44/0x80 smpboot_thread_fn+0x1d8/0x338 kthread+0x120/0x150 ret_from_fork+0x10/0x20 irq event stamp: 29751 hardirqs last enabled at (29750): [<ffff8000813be184>] _raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore+0x44/0x88 hardirqs last disabled at (29751): [<ffff8000813bdf60>] _raw_spin_lock_irqsave+0x38/0x98 softirqs last enabled at (29150): [<ffff8000800f1aec>] handle_softirqs+0x504/0x560 softirqs last disabled at (29153): [<ffff8000800f2fec>] run_ksoftirqd+0x44/0x80
CVE-2026-23281 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libertas: fix use-after-free in lbs_free_adapter() The lbs_free_adapter() function uses timer_delete() (non-synchronous) for both command_timer and tx_lockup_timer before the structure is freed. This is incorrect because timer_delete() does not wait for any running timer callback to complete. If a timer callback is executing when lbs_free_adapter() is called, the callback will access freed memory since lbs_cfg_free() frees the containing structure immediately after lbs_free_adapter() returns. Both timer callbacks (lbs_cmd_timeout_handler and lbs_tx_lockup_handler) access priv->driver_lock, priv->cur_cmd, priv->dev, and other fields, which would all be use-after-free violations. Use timer_delete_sync() instead to ensure any running timer callback has completed before returning. This bug was introduced in commit 8f641d93c38a ("libertas: detect TX lockups and reset hardware") where del_timer() was used instead of del_timer_sync() in the cleanup path. The command_timer has had the same issue since the driver was first written.
CVE-2026-98301 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-11 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mst: move switchdev call outside rcu This is a follow-up of one of sashiko's pre-existing bug reports. br_mst_set_state() calls switchdev_port_attr_set() for nonzero MSTIs while holding rcu_read_lock() which invokes the blocking switchdev notifier chain and may sleep. Nonzero MSTI changes come from netlink with rtnl held. Move the switchdev call before entering the rcu section and assert that rtnl is held. The call cannot be deferred because netlink needs its error and extack. Also DSA reads the old bridge MST state during the callback and checks it. A deferred callback will be late and will see the updated state.
CVE-2026-98223 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-10 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: filemap: retain mapped dropbehind folios Fault-around can map ready dropbehind folios without going through the normal page-cache lookup that clears dropbehind. A mapping represents a competing cached user, so retain the folio instead of forcibly unmapping it when writeback completes. For a mapped folio, folio_unmap_invalidate() can call unmap_mapping_folio(), which takes i_mmap_rwsem and may sleep. Retaining mapped folios avoids this path when folio_end_dropbehind() runs in non-preemptible task context. Tal was able to trigger a sleeping-in-atomic warning due to this [1]. Unmapped dropbehind folios continue through the existing invalidation path.
CVE-2026-98072 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: use wq_has_sleeper() in release_in_xmit() release_in_xmit() clears RDS_IN_XMIT with clear_bit_unlock() and then checks waitqueue_active() to decide whether anyone needs waking. clear_bit_unlock() is only a release operation: it orders the critical section before the bit clear, but does not order the subsequent plain load of the wait queue head after it. The waiter side does the mirror image - it adds itself to the wait queue and then tests the bit. That is the classic store-buffering pattern: the releasing CPU can read the wait queue as empty while the waiting CPU still reads the bit as set, so the sleeper is never woken. The waiters are rds_conn_shutdown() and rds_tcp_reset_callbacks(), both in uninterruptible wait_event() with no timeout. A lost wake-up strands the shutdown worker on its single-threaded workqueue until some other sender releases the bit again - and on a connection that is being torn down precisely because it failed, there may never be another sender. The barrier used to be there: release_in_xmit() did clear_bit() followed by smp_mb__after_atomic() until commit 1422f28826d2 ("rds: introduce acquire/release ordering in acquire/release_in_xmit()") folded both into clear_bit_unlock(), which strengthened the lock hand-off but silently dropped the full barrier the wake-up check depends on. The refill counterpart, release_refill() in net/rds/ib_recv.c, still carries its smp_mb__after_atomic() for exactly this reason. Use wq_has_sleeper(), which is waitqueue_active() preceded by the required full barrier.
CVE-2026-93815 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: au1000: move free_irq out of the close-time spinlocked section au1000_close() calls free_irq() while aup->lock is still held with spin_lock_irqsave(). free_irq() can sleep because it takes the IRQ descriptor request mutex, so it does not belong inside the close-time spinlocked section. This was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by manual review of the in-tree au1000_close() .ndo_stop path. The reviewed path keeps aup->lock held across the MAC reset, queue stop and free_irq(dev->irq, dev). A directed runtime validation kept that ndo_stop carrier and the same free_irq(dev->irq, dev) operation under the driver lock. Lockdep reported "BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context" and "Invalid wait context" while free_irq() was taking desc->request_mutex, with au1000_close() and free_irq() on the stack. Drop aup->lock before freeing the IRQ. The protected close-time work still stops the device and queue before IRQ teardown, but the sleepable IRQ core path now runs outside the spinlocked section.
CVE-2026-97521 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: fix quota init duplicate scan gfs2_quota_init() checks for duplicate quota_change IDs while holding qd_lock and the quota hash bucket bitlock. That path used gfs2_qd_search_bucket(), which takes a lockref reference via lockref_get_not_dead(). On PREEMPT_RT this may sleep, which is not allowed under the bucket bitlock, triggering "sleeping function called from invalid context". Use a no-ref bucket lookup in this path, then continue duplicate handling without taking a lockref there. Refactor gfs2_qd_search_bucket() to build on top of the no-ref helper so lookup traversal stays in one place. This patch fixes a bug reported by syzbot.
CVE-2026-97971 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nstree: check listing permission before taking a namespace reference legitimize_ns() takes a reference on the candidate namespace before may_list_ns() has decided whether the caller may see it. The __free(ns_put) cleanup on the denied path can drop the last reference to a mount namespace while we still hold the rcu read lock, and put_mnt_ns() may sleep there. This is the same problem commit 2ec2aff3c8e2 ("ns: make sure reference are dropped outside of rcu lock") fixed for the put_user() path. Neither ns_requested() nor may_list_ns() needs a reference, both only look at the namespace type and at the caller's own namespaces, so do the checks first and take the reference last. CVE-2026-77762 1 Apache 1 Apache Tomcat 2026-09-24 8.1 High
Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in Apache Tomcat allows an attacker to inject trailer fields into another HTTP/2 request. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.25, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.59, from 9.0.39 through 9.0.121. The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are known to be affected: from 8.5.59 through 8.5.100. Other unsupported versions may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.26, 10.1.60, 9.0.122, which fix the issue.
CVE-2026-89756 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-14 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/migrate: report RCU-tasks quiescent states in migrate_pages_batch() migrate_pages_batch() unmaps each folio before moving it, and every unmap runs the mmu_notifier invalidate callbacks. On KVM hosts try_to_migrate() ends up in kvm_mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start() -> tdp_mmu_zap_leafs(), which is expensive, so unmapping a large batch keeps the CPU busy for a long time. The loop already calls cond_resched(), but on PREEMPTION kernels that is a no-op, and involuntary preemption is not a Tasks-RCU quiescent state. A long batch therefore never reports a quiescent state, and the migrating task (e.g. kcompactd) becomes a Tasks-RCU holdout, stalling the Tasks-RCU grace period for minutes, which is common at Meta fleet: INFO: rcu_tasks detected stalls on tasks: 0000000055349ecc: .. nvcsw: 1157401/1157401 holdout: 1 idle_cpu: -1/56 task:kcompactd0 state:R running task Call Trace: tdp_mmu_zap_leafs tdp_mmu_next_root gfn_to_pfn_cache_invalidate_start kvm_mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start __mmu_notifier_invalidate_range_start try_to_migrate_one try_to_migrate migrate_pages_batch migrate_pages compact_zone compact_node kcompactd kthread Use cond_resched_tasks_rcu_qs() so a quiescent state is reported even when cond_resched() does nothing. This has also been discussed at [1]
