CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mtd: rawnand: fix condition in 'nand_select_target()'
'cs' here must be in range [0:nanddev_ntargets[. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: skbuff: propagate shared-frag marker through frag-transfer helpers
Two frag-transfer helpers (__pskb_copy_fclone() and skb_shift()) fail
to propagate the SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG bit in skb_shinfo()->flags when
moving frags from source to destination. __pskb_copy_fclone() defers
the rest of the shinfo metadata to skb_copy_header() after copying
frag descriptors, but that helper only carries over gso_{size,segs,
type} and never touches skb_shinfo()->flags; skb_shift() moves frag
descriptors directly and leaves flags untouched. As a result, the
destination skb keeps a reference to the same externally-owned or
page-cache-backed pages while reporting skb_has_shared_frag() as
false.
The mismatch is harmful in any in-place writer that uses
skb_has_shared_frag() to decide whether shared pages must be detoured
through skb_cow_data(). ESP input is one such writer (esp4.c,
esp6.c), and a single nft 'dup to <local>' rule -- or any other
nf_dup_ipv4() / xt_TEE caller -- is enough to land a pskb_copy()'d
skb in esp_input() with the marker stripped, letting an unprivileged
user write into the page cache of a root-owned read-only file via
authencesn-ESN stray writes.
Set SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG on the destination whenever frag descriptors
were actually moved from the source. skb_copy() and skb_copy_expand()
share skb_copy_header() too but linearize all paged data into freshly
allocated head storage and emerge with nr_frags == 0, so
skb_has_shared_frag() returns false on its own; they need no change.
The same omission exists in skb_gro_receive() and skb_gro_receive_list().
The former moves the incoming skb's frag descriptors into the
accumulator's last sub-skb via two paths (a direct frag-move loop and
the head_frag + memcpy path); the latter chains the incoming skb whole
onto p's frag_list. Downstream skb_segment() reads only
skb_shinfo(p)->flags, and skb_segment_list() reuses each sub-skb's
shinfo as the nskb -- both p and lp must carry the marker.
The same omission also exists in tcp_clone_payload(), which builds an
MTU probe skb by moving frag descriptors from skbs on sk_write_queue
into a freshly allocated nskb. The helper falls into the same family
and warrants the same fix for consistency; no TCP TX-side in-place
writer is currently known to reach a user page through this gap, but
a future consumer depending on the marker would regress silently.
The same omission exists in skb_segment(): the per-iteration flag
merge takes only head_skb's flag, and the inner switch that rebinds
frag_skb to list_skb on head_skb-frags exhaustion does not fold the
new frag_skb's flag into nskb. Fold frag_skb's flag at both sites
so segments drawing frags from frag_list members carry the marker. |

| Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a malicious package publisher or a hostile repository server to inject terminal control sequences into the output of Mix tasks.
Hex prints strings supplied by the package repository and the documentation search service straight to the terminal through Hex.Shell.info/1 and Hex.Shell.error/1, neutralizing no control characters. Affected sinks span package metadata and configuration snippets in mix hex.info, search results in mix hex.package search and mix hex.search, owner and organization listings, publish and sponsor URLs, the authenticated username in mix hex.user, policy identities in mix hex.policy, and API error bodies rendered by Hex.Utils.print_error_result/1. A malicious package can embed ANSI escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) or Unicode bidirectional overrides in any of those fields, so the bytes reach the terminal unchanged, forging displayed URLs, package descriptions and suggested commands, concealing real output, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package.
This issue affects hex: from 0.0.1 before 2.5.2. |
| LibRaw through 0.22.2 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read in LibRaw::parseNikonMakernote() that allows attackers to read past a short ShotInfo buffer. Attackers can supply a crafted Nikon NEF/TIFF with a 5-byte ShotInfo tag declaring version 243 to crash applications decoding the image. |
| GNU LibreDWG through 0.14.8612 contains a global out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the AcDs decoder acds_private() that allows attackers to read beyond a static table via an unchecked schema property type index. Attackers can supply a crafted R2004 or R2010+ DWG file with a large 'schdat' property type value to crash dwgread, dwg2dxf, or any application using LibreDWG. |
| WildMIDI through 0.5.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the HMP parser _WM_ParseNewHmp() that allows attackers to read beyond buffers via underflowed chunk lengths. Attackers can supply a crafted .hmp file with a chunk length of 0-12 that wraps to roughly 4 GB, crashing applications or exposing heap bytes through WildMidi_GetInfo(). |
| Game Music Emu (libgme) through 0.6.5 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the AY loader get_data function caused by an integer underflow in the track-table bounds check. Attackers can supply a crafted ZXAYEMUL file with an oversized track table to read past the file buffer via gme_track_info or gme_start_track, crashing libgme consumers. |
| Zziplib through 0.13.80 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in zzip/mmapped.c that allows attackers to over-read heap memory via a crafted ZIP central directory. Attackers can craft an end-of-central-directory record placing the first entry near the buffer end, causing zzip_disk_entry_strdup_name to read past the buffer and crash the application. |
| GNOME libgxps through 0.3.2 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in path_geometry_start_element() that allows attackers to read past allocations via crafted PolyBezierSegment or PolyQuadraticBezierSegment Points attributes. Attackers can supply a point count not divisible by three or two in a crafted XPS document to crash consumers like Evince and render adjacent heap memory into output. |
| catdoc through 0.95 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in copy_unicode_string() in src/xlsparse.c that allows attackers to read past buffers via an unchecked string character count. Attackers can supply a crafted .xls file declaring 0xFFFF two-byte characters in LABEL, STRING, or SST records to disclose adjacent memory through xls2csv output or crash the process. |
| n8n before 1.123.83, 2.x before 2.41.4, and 2.42.x before 2.42.1 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in the AI workflow builder, which merges workflow connections using node names as object members without checking for reserved keys. Authenticated users can create nodes named __proto__ through the API and invoke the connect-nodes operation to pollute the global object prototype, disrupting the instance until restart. |
| Integer wraparound in psqlODBC SQLBindParameter allows an application, or an attacker who controls how many parameters the application binds on one statement, to corrupt heap memory. psqlODBC stores the binding count in a signed 16-bit field. Binding parameter number 32768 wraps that count to -32768. Binding parameter 32769 then writes about 2.5 MB of zeros starting 1.25 MB before the binding array, which crashes the application or leaves it running on a corrupted heap. Applications that build parameter lists from untrusted input, such as an IN (?, ?, ...) list, are exposed. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0005 are affected. |
